By-Laws
We do have game shows and open shows. Our open shows are
western and english pleasure and equitation. Our game shows have barrels,
poles and other types of classes. We have all levels of riding from walk -
trot to senior novice. If you join then it is a $20.00 single member fee or a
$25.00 family member fee. This includes a subscription to the Horses Maine
newspaper. The classes are $4.00 for members or $6.00 for non-members. Each
show you play a $5.00 trophy fund fee and a one time charge of $1.00 for a
number for each horse you ride. These are yours from that time on.
Our grounds consist of the riding ring, practice ring, food
booth and pavilion, a 20 stall barn - which is available free of charge on a
first come basis. We have water for the horses. We also have overnight camping
for shows with a small fee of $10.00 per night members / $15.00 per night
non-members. We do have seasonal campsites for members at $50.00 per
season.(there are NO water or electric hook ups for the camping) There are
some requirements that go along with the campsite that you must fulfill. There
are tons of trails from the grounds and we have several organized trail rides
scheduled this summer. If you are a member you are allowed to use the grounds
at any time unless there is a show. If you want camping then you must contact
the grounds committee chairperson and pay your fees.
If you think you might be interested in any of the above you
can contact me at any time and I would be happy to answer your questions. We
are a great family oriented club and have tons of fun.
