Versatility Day with Wanda Lounder

Wanda Lounder of Double L Stables, AQHA Professional Horseman, returns to us for a versatility trail clinic from 9 to noon and a judged trail challenge after a thirty minute lunch break. Wanda brings a lot of knowledge on obstacle navigation and precision as she currently designs and sponsors various AQHA Trail Challenges at her own stable. She is approachable and appreciate of the diversity our riders bring. She will guide you and your horse through suggestions, all while keeping your strengths in mind. Obstacles may include: gates, step overs, gaits, water, drags, carries, turn on haunches, side passing, debris field, curtain, shiny things, noise makers, etc.

This will be a great review of trail riding and a warm up for those who have been accepted to the Versatile Horse & Rider Competition at the Equine Affaire. In hand, Novice, and Open divisions for youth and adults are available. We reserve the right to limit clinic participants if needed in the concern of safety.

Paid entries received on or before October 14th will be entered in to a special drawing. Checks/money orders can be made payable to Gilead Volunteer Fireman's Association and mailed to Chief Randall Grondin, PO Box 364, Bethel, ME 04217. You may also call
207-357-0023 before 8pm to make arrangements to pay by credit card.

This is the second annual fundraiser for the American Lung Association. All proceeds will be donated to the ALA on behalf of the Western Maine FireFighters and Friends who are climbing 789 stairs so others can breathe easier. ERR members Shaynah Seames, Amanda Stygles, and Rhianna Stygles will be participating in Boston in February. All regular ERR rules apply for helmets, heeled shoes, rabies, Coggins, and others. Volunteers
will be on hand starting at 8 am the day of the event to review liability waivers and other information.
