Trail Committee

The Ellis River Riders Trail Committee is comprised of several members of the club who have a shared interest in working outdoors and maintaining our 50+ miles of marked riding trails. Our season typically begins with a meeting in the early Spring to plan our trail maintenance projects and schedule the Club trail rides for the upcoming season.

We have one or two scheduled “trail work” days to get the trails ready for use in the Spring.  These work days consist of everything from clearing blow-downs, to repairing bridges, to filling washouts, to replacing trail signs & flagging. There are tasks to fit any age & ability.  Some efforts such as trimming brush, removing hazards, and trash pick-up continue throughout the riding season.

The Trail Committee also plans and hosts several organized trail rides each season, including our annual St. Jude’s charity ride.

We are always looking for new members to join us on this fun and rewarding committee!
